Time to get rid of those idiotic barbarians! "Barbarian" is a culture/term for other cultures, not a class or profesion. You want a big tough axe-weilder? Make a fighter. You want her to have woodland skills? Multiclass with ranger.

In conclusion, barbarians suck! But as Rich Berlew's Order of the Stick points out, they can't read so you can write bad things about them without fear.

P.S. I predict it will all come to a showdown between Fighter and Wizard. You can't have a "Sword and Sorcery" game without swords and sorcery.

Alrighty, so I'm playing a Fighter. At any level (particularly 1st) it pays better for combat to take one level of Barbarian. I get better hitpoints, better saves (than straight fighter), much better skills, and the ability to rage. If I happen to be lightly armoured, I also get fast movement. Barbarian is massively front-loaded, and if one level of another class is that much better for combat purposes (for fighting, y'know, what fighters do), it needs to go.
Sure one level is all I need, but I'm giving up half a feat for all that.

Regardless, I'll be surprised if the final four aren't Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Rogue. :)

I can't stand bards. If I want a bard, i'll make a wizard with ranks in Perform (Singing). Making an entire class around singing was a stupid idea.

Buh-bye, monkey boy. Your eastern-fu has no place in my swords-and-sorcery.

But I likes the monk. You can dip into that class for 2-4 levels for some yummyness.

Of course, the entire class isn't very good.

To those who don't like it's eastern flavor, simply take that out and spice it up westernly!
