D&D Clue

I collect Clue games. Whatcha wanna know?
Is there any real D&D element in the game? Or are the characters, weapons & rooms simply replaced with "D&D-esque" versions?

The only new rules were 6 "random encounter" cards that, if you land on a scratch mark on the board, you can face (by rolling over a number on the d6), and win a "magic item", a one shot ability like 2d6 move for one round, or even look at one of the cards in the envelope.

I've had it for awhile and think its quite well done. Maybe Hasbro might do other classic games D&D style (My vote is for Risk and Monopoly, I wanna either conquer or buy Waterdeep.) :)

I would so buy D&D Monopoly. And D&D Trivial Pursuit. :)

And what about D&D Dungeon? Umm, no, wait a sec... ;)

Hm . . . sounds interesting. Looks like I will have to buy it (not that there really was any doubt to begin with).

As for other games, I'm all for it as long as they're well-done! :D

I'd buy D&D: Risk or D&D: Monopoly. I'd buy D&D: Clue, if I had the money to spend.

What about D&D: Chutes & Ladders? Or D&D: Candyland? Or they could make campaign specific board game? Forgotten Realms Clue would be fun to try.

A Ghostwalk version of Clue would be over pretty quick.

[Cheers!]

D&D Clue is a limited edition and has a limited print run. I'm pretty sure it's just intended for D&D fans. No idea if they plan other crossovers (considering how hard people fought to get a D&D book with Magic: The Gathering monsters and how it was shot down each time, and how that was just _internal_ to WotC, I shudder to think of the complexity of cross-division crossovers).

somewhat unrelated. does anybody remember the other merchandise for D&D from days of yore?

gummy monsters

or

D&D stickers

coloring books,

plush toys

and of course the more mainstream Plastic forms.

I'm going to guess it was Mialee, in the Tavern, with a Wand of Magic Missiles.

No, that was in the Polyhedron NC-17 minigame.

Ahem.

Never mind; nothing to see here. Shoo, shoo!

I just played Master Clue for the first time in years this weekend and it was surprisingly a lot of fun. We were going to start a D&D game, but we got stuck with a two year old.
