D&D Experience: Questions YOU Want Answered?

As it's been said, you CAN use higher level monsters against lower level PCs.

Hell, they did it to us in the adventure we played. We totally got our asses handed to us. Yeah, we made some wrong tactical moves, but you can't expect everyone to play perfect their first time through a new game.

True, I'd was hoping they would work as challenging opponents for low level characters though (as in 1-3).
I note they are both chaotic and evil, and have no language of their own. :(

I think I do like the page format, however.

Mmmmm. Also, nice; the Huntsman is a 5th level guy.

My ONE complaint is that there's no controller there. That means I'll just have to whip up some sort of gnoll warlocky fellow.
Yeah, I was kinda surprised there wasn't at least a Gnoll Shaman in there considering the emphasis on Yeenoghu worship...

a setup for a Gnoll PC in the MM had been mentioned, and they will probably have an XP rule with it.

So I never got to play on Sunday (everything was sold out) and I never met up with any of the staff of Wizards. :( I posted a touch more on my blog, and I'll be updating it with my review of 4e in the next few days. Right now, I'm trying to get The Complete Book of Denizens done for GM's day tomorrow.

Can you perform more than one opportunity attack per round ?

Only one opportunity attack in a round. Unless you have some kind of special power or ability that circumvents this rule. For example a bugbear we fought had an ability that let them do at least 2 opportunity attacks when I did the delve.

Rituals! I haven't seen any mention of them yet, except for the notes on the Cleric and Wizard sheet that they can use 'em. If you could ask someone about them, or suggest their use to someone in your party, or use a few yourself, that'd be breezy.

"Continual Light" is a low level ritual (source: 4E judge/playtester)

"Scrolls are rituals" (source: James Wyatt)

The primary limit on rituals is that they cost money.
