D&D Experience: Questions YOU Want Answered?

They had Gnolls up all day. I kept walking by, but didn't see anything but. I think there were about 6 spreads there. Hopefully I'll see something new tomorrow.

To everyone at large: Are there stats for these gnolls up somewhere?

And as for a question- any information on noncombat situations?

I think one way they could be worked is "Zombie Mob" style. In one of the earlier posts, there was a mention of a Zombie encounter at a tavern in which when the fighter stepped out the door to confront what he thought would be 2 or 3, he found 12...While it mayt sound insade, I could see a Paragon party possibly having to fight their way through wave after wave of them.

Hmm I just got an idea for a fun/scary Paragon or Epic encounter. The party manages to defeat a Charnel Hound (essentially a giant undead hound made of human corpses). It falls apart around them, the bodies slamming down into the ground; as the party begins to pick their way through the corpses, one grabs their ankle and raise. All the bodies have come to life as undead! Undead minions to be precise and their in the middle of them.

Nice, that sounds like a pretty clever use of minions at higher levels. Cloverfield-style beasts could follow a similar idea...

Giant monster is slain = parasites or other type of creatures burst from the stomach seeking food.

Thanks.

Ouch. Much higher level than I expected or wanted.
As it's been said, you CAN use higher level monsters against lower level PCs.

I shudder to think about gnoll minions given their pack attack power.
