Any ideas on how to make a Star Wars type D&D campaign? With stuff like blasters and lightsabers and stuff.

You mean apart from, say, using some of the rules from d20 Star Wars for D&D, or vice versa? ;)

I was thinking of mixing the two sets of rules. I just want to make it believeable so my players don't think its Star Wars with dwarves, elves and mages.

Your original post makes it sound like this is exactly what you're going for. Assuming you're serious about wanting suggestions, why not provide enough specific info on what you're after to prompt helpful replies?

In Space

Try Dragonstar. It is really good. If you can find some old school Spelljammer converted to 3E and tool around with it you can get a good game going. You can also take some of the Starwars RPG and Dragonstar and get another good game....epecially if you use some stuff from Unearthed Arcana.

Thanks for the advice. What I'm trying to do for my players is make a good futuristic D&D campaign. Using rules from both D&D and Star Wars. But I don't want it to seem odd.

I almost forgot about Black Arrow Games Interstellar Journeys. This essentially is DnD in space, not some silly rendition. It is okay. It is a bit of a Space Opera, but fundamentals are almost exactly the same as DnD.
