Okay everyone has been stating that but so far no one has made it clear that Hasbro/Wizards actually see D&D that way, I have!

If you are actually willing to check out here is an image that how the proof and also you can check it out for yourself at this link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/dndi/welcome

Whew!

Glad that is cleared up. I was afraid I might have been playing a roleplaying game that used miniatures for combat. Thank goodness I can dispel that notion. Maybe some of those old grognards will let me back in the club now that I am playing a pure miniatures game?

Just teasing you of course - but really D&D3E always envisioned miniatures being an integral part of the game. It was part of the original marketing plan.

Yeah, I know, but i just wanted to prove that I am far more random websurfer than any of them!!

Just teasing back...miniatures sure are a good part of the game now, but that is okay for me, I like them, but people complain and I can prove that someday we will get to our FLGS and see Pokemon minis for D&D use!

ahh...much better. Now I may sleep sound knowing you have fixed everything :D . I don't use mini's. I don't have the funds to buy them. I just use other things as markers when needed.

Hey they are mini miniatures that are imaginary, after all equator and all those line are hanging around all this time!!

I use minis only for players and really important npcs or monsters... all the rest is counters, of whatever type I can use at the moment!

Come people and see the light of my wisdom!

Hehe yeah I still have my Red-Box-Don't-Stare-At-Them-Too-Long-Or-They'll-Give-You-Cancer Lead mini's. Sure they lost a sword or three, but they're still in better shape than those that you can buy these days...

I used minis.

I sure did.

For Chainmail

No, I mean the one with the yellow cover.

I don't use minis for rpgs. For me and mine they slow down action and add nothing to the flow of the game. I mean, if we have to worry that much about exact distances, etc., I'll go back to old miniatures gaming. Or start demanding that players actually carry bags of washers to simulate all the coins they are lugging, tell me precisely and with no derivation what they are carrying at all time and where they have it stowed, and all the rest.

For me, RPGs are about imagination. The other stuff is just bad table top gaming.

For those of you who wish to use all the miniatures, however, I hope they serve you well and that they add to your enjoyment of the game.

In fact they were a great addition to my game, and as they came with the use of music for game environment the game truly became better.

We use minis to make it clearer, not to make it slower or someting else, my players tend to describe their actions moving the minis anyway...

Sorry. I am not an old school gamer, I play for just 14 years, since 9 years old...
