Being introduced to D&D via Salvatore's Drizzt books 7 years before actually playing it was awesome.
My first character, a Drow with 2 swords, was awesome.
My second character, a Human Barbarian, was awesome.
My current Warforged Barbarian who is going to be switching over to Battle Rage Fighter is awesome.
The D&D computer games, especially Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights, have all been awesome.
Every edition of D&D's effect on popular geek culture has been awesome.
The current Forgotten Realms are awesome.
The previous Forgotten Realms were awesome.
Eberron rocks my socks so hard, I could kill a yak with them.
The D&D movies... never mind. Though I'll admit that the second movie was slightly awesomer than the first. On an AWESOME scale of 1-10, the second was a 2.
