D&D Miniatures - Complete Deathknell list

...so, there are *five* dwarves in this set (counting the dwarven skeleton).

My. That's a lot of dwarves.

Brad

Yeah, I think they overdid it a bit with the dwarves. Bleh.

I love about 1/2 the set, so-so on 1/4 and dislike the remaining 1/4.

The dwarves are - apparently - not wielding axes, either. (With the exception of the dwarf skeleton).

I'm very, very surprised that the Grell is uncommon.

I'm not complaining, though!

Cheers!

Oh, my players are going to hate that. ;)

Is it just me or is there a larger proportion of rares in this set?

AR

Aberrations: 23/60: 38.3%
Archfiends: 20/60: 33.3%
Harbinger: 27/80: 33.8%
Giants of Legend: 30/72: 41.7%
Dragoneye: 20/60: 33%
Deathknell: 24/60: 40%

So it isn't just me :)

Yes, the rarity scheme has been twiddled again.

This one is rather strange: 24 rares, 24 uncommons and 12 commons, as opposed to 23 rares, 21 uncommons and 16 commons in the last set.

I wonder if they've just reduced the minis/pack to 7, or whether we'll have a lot of commons come March...

Cheers!

There were more giant frogs in the original Temple of Elemental Evil.

:)

There sure are. I was complaining to my group about how difficult it is to convert ToEE to 3E, or just about any lowlevel module, without 3.5 stats for giant frogs. My girlfriend, who entered the hobby with 3.5, looked at me oddly, but one of my groups long time players knew EXACTLY what I meant.

Tangent aside, I'm looking forward to a lot of these. Uncommon trolls and ogres are very nice, and the goliath barbarian is just what the doctor ordered, considering how this race has been embraced by my group ( something like 5 campaigns out of eight that have started since Races of Stone have featured one). The large blue dragon will be the perfect counterpart to my large silver, standing behind my huge red and gold. I might have to go in on a box of these.

Only three common slots? Then they should put two rare slots... They won't of course.

I went to the Deathknell product page and saw that they sneakily haven't said how many minis there are.

On the bright side, if they are to be believed, they're free! Price: $0.00! I'll order a few dozen cases at that price, myself!
