D&D miniatures in Helsinki Finland?

First Post
I'm travelling to Helsinki, Finland in a short time and was hoping to pick up some D&D minatures. However, the store I always visit, Fantasiapelit, says on it's website it's out of all mini sets except the Giants of Legend series.

Any other possibilities on buying some there?

Many thanks

I am not much for minis, but there is (at least there were) A Games Workshop shop next to kamppi (bus station) at same building with one scandic hotel but that most likely sells only GW minis. Can try to check from one friend who still lives at that area and likes to buy (and paint;-) minis in general. Fantasiapelit (at Helsinki) is having a sale so it might be worth of checking any way. Safe Heaven <http://www.safehaven.fi/> is mostly card and boardgame shop but there might be some (well to be honest I doupt that). There is one hoppy shop across the street from Kino Palatsi (close to railway station). Don't know iif this helped any but can't do more at this moment. I'll try to check from friend but he isn't using so much D&D minis so maybe either he doesn't know others than Fantasiapelit and GW that sells minis for certain.

It's a tremendous help, thanks :). Even if it doesn't lead to mini purchases, I'm happy to learn of other game shops in Helsinki. Russian shops are very, limited (no D&D minis)

Send me a link by e-mail <http://www.sotavasara.net/links.php> (too bad it is in finnish). That link listssome shops and net shops that sells minis etc. Only one besides Fantasiapelit tell that it sells D&D mins - and that is webshop only <http://www.peliarkku.fi/catalog/index.php?cPath=28_205> (pages only in finnish). So I am afraid there won't be any big amounts of D&D mins available in Finland either. If Fantasiapelit is running down on them then it is just some random place that might have some.

Let's hope someone else knows more.

I've used GW miniatures almost exclusively, but have noticed when buying the D&D ones (stuff that's hard to replicate with GW, like beholders) that ordering them from abroad really is the best option. I guess D&D miniatures and Finns go together like salmon and outer space.

Ordering from abroad is a good choice for all RPG stuff. Fantasiapelit has a monopoly, so the prices are too high. With the weak dollar ordering from USA amazon is a cheaper option :heh:
