D&D miniatures line

Did anyone go to the talk on the new mini's line for D&D. Here's what I know

1) They will be prepainted and collectable like mage knight without the dials.

2) They will have a book which is listed on the front page.

Is this going to be D&D light? What will the book be about. Is there a seperate game for the miniatures (as chainmail was)?

If anyone knows more then this let me know

I've read that the release date is 09/29.

No customization

Models range from pretty good to pretty damn mediocre

High cost for plastic

Nope -- zero interest here. I'll stick to my metal figures if I want to fight wargames...

And with my rpgs, I'll cut down on the miniatures-centric features.
