D&D Miniatures - the Final Frontier

For those who don't know, the Star Wars miniatures game is soon to have an AT-AT miniature released for it.

"Leaky" Rob Watkins in chat: "The AT-ST will be in the Universe set. I believe its stats will be the same as seen in Ultimate Missions, except the point cost has been reduced to 54. The AT-AT would be a separate item that comes with a double sided map sheet. I believe the AT-AT will be 13" tall, 5" wide, and 15" long."

Recently, Mike Donais has 'confirmed' that D&D Miniatures will also be getting a rather large figure...

Mike Donais: "I would get in so much trouble if I gave you guys the details about the D&D version of this."

My guess is that first Gargantuan or Colossal figure will be a Dragon. It'd have to be - how could it not?

It'll be individually sold, though perhaps expensive.

I can't wait. :)

Cheers!

It would be nice to see gargantuan and colossal figures.

I'd buy them, though I shudder to think of the price...

$30? $40? more?

I've been waiting for this. I would see how MageKnight and Heroclix would have their cool one-off big figures and I'd think to myself "Why can't D&Ders have the same goodness?" I'm voting for red dragon for D&D. It would be stupid not too. If it sells well, then I think tarrasque would be next.

As long as they aren't randomly-packaged gigantic figures that cost that much. For $30-40, I'd like to know what I'm buying, eh? ;)

It should be sweet.

Heck, I might buy an AT-AT. At that size, I imagine it will be as much a collectable as a playing piece.

Pretty much. It's the same thing with a dragon - the figure would be collectable in its own right, which lowers the risk of doing it non-randomly as only one figure in a box. :)

Cheers!
