D&D Miniatures - the Final Frontier

Oh Please, Oh Please be Tiamat.
I have been waiting since the GOL was announced and was disapointed she wasnt in there.
I don't care if she is unique. If it is her I want an army of them :]

It would be nice to see gargantuan and colossal figures.

I'd buy them, though I shudder to think of the price...

$30? $40? more?

The Mage Knight Dragons were $25, IIRC. They also had the complication of the large dial base. Allowing for price increases since the MK Dragons were released, and the savings because they don't have the expense of having a dial, I think $25-$30 is a reasonable estimate for the piece.

Of course, that assumes the size is the same. The MK Dragon base measures 3"x6". The tanks measure 5"x8" approximately - and that's the base they'll be using for their Apocolypse Dragon. The tanks went for $35, I think (no one knows how much the convention exclusive Apocolypse Dragon is going to go for, yet).

I don't see the need for a Tarrasque mini, when there are Star Wars Rancor figures (not SWM) that can fit the same role (given they use a larger scale (the included Luke figure would rub shoulders with a storm giant), so it's about the right size for a Tarrasque.

Interesting.

$30-35, wouldn't bother me for colossal (5x5) creatures. I think $20-25 would be more reasonable for Gargantuan (4x4).

my guesses:

the Colossal Zombie from Castle Amber

Hastur, Hastur, Hastur

a Dracolich

if it is more in line with the new releases probably something from Eberron or Forgotten Realms. like say the... airships from Haluraa or lightning rail

While it would be super cool to have an airship model, I very doubt to see that in a dungeon-centric tactical miniature game. It would make as much sense as a horsecart in one of the regular set.

Nah, it's going to be a creature.
