D&D Miniatures - Uncommon Trolls and Ogres are on their way!

We've had confirmation from Rob Heinsoo that uncommon Ogres and Trolls are on their way - though we're not quite sure when. Within a year, however.

My pessimistic feeling is that they'll turn up in Set 8: Underdark (October 2005), but either Set 6: Deathknell or Set 7: Angelfire are possible.

I've archived the post here, along with other interesting tidbits from the DDM designers:

Cheers!

Yes! Finally!

I could use more trolls. Ogres I have plenty of (metal ones, that is).

This is awesome news! I have several troll and ogre figures from other games (both metal and plastic), but only a few trolls from the D&D Minis line (I've scored 3 Ice Trolls so far from the pack of Abberations that I sporadically buy!) and not a single ogre yet.

Anyone know the name of the site(s) that have the going price lists for D&D minis?

Maxminis.com - go to the Reference List forum and look for Zenako's Price Guide.

Cheers!

I was kind of hoping that somewhere down the line they'd start using the out of production miniatures in theme packs but alas, that doesn't seem to be the case... I know that the Lord of the Rings has a non-random starter set as does Hero Clix... be nice if WoTC joined them...
