D&D Minis: Drow, Dragon, Spiders!

OMFG I want this set bad. Every mini's a must-have so far.

So, in the skirmish game, what is the point of a "wandering monster"?

I've been wondering whether they would do swarm minis- not sure how well they'll work since their space isn't 'fixed' but is rather flexible. I hope the mini can come apart and be reformed! :D :] :uhoh:
Yeah, a swarm mini's not that useful, not just because of their flexible nature, but also because swarms always seek to occupy other creatures' squares. When I use swarm monsters I just draw X's inside the squares that they currently occupy. Of course, that's an advantage of having Tact-Tiles.

They just sit around the board and act as roadbumps. I'm not sure they are useful, personally. Though they're cheaper because you can't control them as easily.

I was hoping that when they got around to doing Swarms that they'd go the route of providing medium (or small) sculpts with several lil' beasties per mini, so that you would use multiples of to represent the swarm, spreading them around as the swarm...errr... swarms. They'd have to common so that you'd be able to get enough, but I suppose it's all a moot point now.

The minis are really cool looking though. Thanks for the pics Merric!

In FR, there are drow riding lizards, which are dinosaury things. They don't ride spiders presumably because they're non-intelligent and venerated as much as used. A spider-rider would have to be well trained and very prestigious.

Demiurge out.
