D&D Minis: When do the repaints stop?

The reprints in series two weren't unexpected -- when this topic came up after series one came out, Peter Lee (I think) did mention that there would also be reprints in series two. However, I'd be suprised if there are still reprints in series thee (scheduled for February 2010, I think).

It seems that Series 3 will be the first produced with the line in mind, previous two were made from humanoids that would appear in previous sets.

I'd expect at least one Deva in it.

I don't mind repaints of really good sculpts. There have been several PC-worthy minis in the past that deserve to make a return. Human Wanderer (from Harbinger) is still my favorite ranger-like mini.

Yes, I think there are enough really good sculpts in the nearly 1200 figures released so far to make a very appealing set. Pick ten of the best from the archives, put one of each in a repainted "D&D Minis: Classics" set and charge $30 for it (twice the price of a 5-piece random booster). That'd probably sell, especially if the figures were all visible. The only problem with that is that it might cannibalise sales from the line of semi-random packs.

Isn't Human Wanderer a bit too small compared to later set humans?

Been thinking about buying one on Ebay for a very long time, it's just that Harbinger, Dragoneye and Archfiends seems to have smaller sculpts...

Yes, it is rather small (3e elf-sized, when compared to current minis). Could pass for a short human, elf or half-elf. It is an awesome sculpt, though.

Otoh there's the Vampire Hunter from Unhallowed, a giant among men. It is an awesome sculpt, as well.
