I only had a quick look at it. Is maxminis just a trading site or is there a store attached to it as well?

No store as far as I know. It's for collection tracking, discussing and trading. The boards contain the trading forums.

And once you're addicted, you'll want to keep track of your collection there: You can import the collection into the KB generator (and others as well, as far as I know).

Oh, and the Wizards Generator, while not containing all the stats in its tables, does have pictures of both the minis and their stat cards nowadays.
