I was just wondering if thier was any differance between the monster manuals from 3.0 and 3.5

I already own the 3.5 monster manual but do all of the monster manuals need to be 3.5 or can i use 3.0 aswell?

was also wondering if this goes the same for the Fiend Foilo

Wizards put out a 3.5e update booklet & PDF that updated skills, DR, and other abilities for the 3.0 monster books (with the exception of the first MM, for which they did a 3.5e version).

The PDF is still available at WotC's website, here.

WotC issued 3.0 --> 3.5 update documents so you can convert. The one for MM, as well as several other publications, can be found HERE.
Enjoy :)

LOL I already have all the PDFs i could ever want...sadly thier slow as a turlte on the netbook and I would love to have actual hard copies.

So i was just wondering if thier are any major differances between the 3.5 and the 3.0 MOnster manuals 2, 3,4,5 and the fiend folio

There is no 3.0 version of MM 3, 4, or 5; they were all produced under the 3.5e rules only. Similarly, there is no 3.5e version per se of MM 2 or Fiend Folio; they were 3.0 books (well, FF was kind of halfway -- it was 3.0, but 3.5 aware); there are updates to the 3.0 stats, bringing them in line with the 3.5e rules, in the update booklet we linked to above.

As I recall, the DR values are the major differences, though there are others. For example, the way monsters get feats and skills changed between 3.0 and 3.5, so some monsters got a lot more feats and/or skills in 3.5e. (Some got fewer, but they usually got missing feats back as "bonus feats".)

Really, I'd just DL the booklet and print the monster sections; they aren't that many pages.

Monsters of Faerun was 3.0 in addition.

As stated, MM III, IV, and V are 3.5 and there is a 3.0 and 3.5 version of MM I.

The big differences are in DR, 3.0 has DR based on the plus of magic weapon while 3.5 goes with smaller DR and varying by type instead of +.

Energy resistance went from one amount per round to one amount per shot.

Feats calculations went from being determined by type to being 1 plus one per 3HD (same as PCs).

Stat blocks changed, grapple modifiers and BAB are shown in 3.5.

Outsiders generally have more HD and fewer spell-like abilities in 3.5.
