Tarrasque (Godzilla, need I say more?)

Succubus (X-rated)

Invisible stalker (cheap on FX)

Ghoul (when braaains aren't enough)

Inevitable (ahre you sahrah connohr?)

Vampire and Lycanthrope (hey, overused they may be, but they're D&D monsters, don't complain)

Efreeti (think Wishmaster, only with more fire)

Kython (the Planescape ones, not the lame BoVD things with no relation to the real thing)

Kraken (classical deep sea horror)

Bodak (anything that spawns is a good horror candidate, really)

Gargoyle (looks like an eerie statue, until it rips someone's throat off)

Assassin vine/Tendriculous (rhymes with pentacle rex)

Allip (drives you insane, that should be enough)

Marilith (it's got polymorph, so you can have it on screen without the audience knowing it's a monster, until the big battle)

Doppelganger (classical, I say)

The Totem Hunter from the Monsternomicon. It's a large humanoid with mad skillz that comes from the stars and kills people for their skulls to take home. It would be awesome. Oh wait, it's already been done... ;)

Ooooh! Or the astral stalker from the MMIII, a large humanoid from beyond the stars that hunts intelligent beings for trophies!
