A party of 3 adventurers, unknown by one another, descend into the tomb a legendary figure, each with their own personal motive.


This combat encounter was played in full, using the D&D Next playtest rules.

Thanks. Some questions:

So how did this play out originally? I assume there were three players and a DM, and this narration is summarizing what happened after-the-fact?

Or is this just some guy playing both DM and all the characters?

Why was this created? W

ere the backgrounds created by the players, or dictated by the DM? Did the players choose how to enter the underground, or did the game start there?

Could the players see all the map like that, or was it originally at least partially hidden from them?
