D&D 5E D&D Next will be my next.

I'm not really sold on running it yet, but I have to admit I enjoy Next more than 3e or 4e and I will definitely buy it as I enjoy every edition of D&D and love collecting and reading the books even if I don't play them. Right now I'm considering Next, retroclones, Savage Worlds, or a homebrewed version of D&D for my next long running campaign. No rush since my current job has me working most weekends unfortunately.

I've been running encounters with it. At our table is a big fan of 4e, and someone who is anything but. Both of them are getting a kick out of it. I'm having a good time and I'll get it to keep running encounters, at least.

It is in the maybe box for now. Most likely will pick up the PHB or whatever on release but not going to jump in straight away. Went back to AD&D from Pathfinder and are having fun again.

I've been in full support of 5e since the first playtest packet. It's still got some fleas, but that's how alpha/beta tests go. I'm not in a position for a regular 5e game at present, but I'm certain, from watching this edition develop, that 5e will provide me with no less fun than previous editions. Call me a fanboy, but I'll buy with confidence.

I am sure Mr. Mearls has been working very hard to please everyone, to make D&D Next as inclusive as it's promised. It may mean something to him, in fact, to hear your change of heart.

So far it seems to me like they put out one playtest that makes me say " oh awesome i want that" and then one that makes me go "crap, they blew it, no way". And so forth over and over now.

So I cant say if I'll buy it or not. I know it seems like more bad stuff coming out lately then good from my perspective but not so much that I wouldnt give it a try if released in the current version. So I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.
