I guess I quit buying crunch quite a while ago -- probably about the time 3.5 came out. I never bought 3.5, and just stuck with 3.0 and house rules. In fact, the only WotC book I've bought since 3.5 hit is Red Hand of Doom, which sounded too cool to pass up. I continued to buy adventures and settings, though, mostly from Necromancer Games, Green Ronin, and Malhavoc. I also bought Arcana Unearthed, which I like a lot, but that's not really crunch so much as a variant system. I guess you could say 3.5 killed my WotC purchasing, because I had no desire to go around the rules update carousel, again. Unless 4E makes some drastic changes that win me over, I don't expect I'll be buying it, either.
Lately, I've been playing Castles & Crusades, Lejendary Adventure, and classic D&D (Basic/Expert/etc), so I feel no need for d20 crunch books, these days. Currently, I prefer the freedom offered in those systems. I've got True20, too, and have some mini-campaigns in mind for it. Red Hand of Doom is pretty good, though, so I may dust off my 3E D&D books for that one, at some point.
