D&D Ontology

I've been trying to learn OWL (web ontology language) and I thought that it might be interesting to come up with an ontology describing D&D characters. Does anyone know if anyone else is working on this? (I do know about the PCGEN-XML work).

For those unfamiliar with the term, an ontology is: "An explicit formal specification of how to represent the objects, concepts, and other entities that are assumed to exist in some area of interest and the relationships that hold among them."

I've been using the Protege Ontology Editor (with OWL plug-in)

Isn't the SRD technically the D&D ontology?

Jamis Buck started a yahoo group on the subject, maybe two years ago. We never got anywhere though because no one could commit the time to the project. I'm pretty sure the group dissolved, at least the last time I tried to look for it many months ago, I couldn't find it.

I've begun thinking about it again, but only in very liberal terms. I was planning on starting something up in a few months, if my life goes as planned. I was wanting to develop a schema to describe the srd data. An ontology implies more of a rulebase description, which I'm still unclear on how that's going to fit into the framework I have in mind.

I am also looking at creating a D&D Ontology in OWL and was wondering if you had started working on it yet?
