Listening now.

Heroes of the Feywild:
-dual role classes. Start the encounter with one role, and shift to the second role during the encounter. But not the two roles at the same time. (Like a switch.)

I'm going to be pretty surprised if this isn't a Werewolf class, despite the feywild connection being a little thin.

My favorite part of the podcast was the clarification from Mike Mearls about the canceled products. Basically, they're not sticking to one book per month but rather they're looking to more fully test the material before releasing it.

They've tried to say this before, but this was the clearest explanation yet I think. It makes me much more comfortable losing this material knowing that they're putting more effort into assuring it doesn't require pages of errata later when it finally does get released, whatever form it might take.

Hmm, that would make it interesting for me - if it wasn't themes for the §$%&" FR setting.

Where are generic / Nentir Vale themes?

I hope they'll be generic enough to be portable to PoLand. OTOH there should be quite some stuff ready for release through Dragon now that several books won't see print.

I agree, this was the clearest statement as to why things were pulled.

Paraphrasing: "We've had complaints about quality control issues and we are now devoting more time to producing better products. Consequently, this will let us push the design envelope more."

The rest was OK--I'm looking forward to the Feywild book more than I had originally.

That's a nice sentiment and a good goal, but does it mean even less content in DDI? It's already down to a trickle, a pittance.

If one of their goals is to leverage DDI for steady revenue, eliminating its most popular features and replacing them with vastly inferior, barely-working versions while simultaneously reducing the amount of new content seems... counterproductive.
