Despite my anti-dwarf diatribe above, I voted out halflings. Anyone who complained about gnomes being constantly reinvented better take a whack at halflings too. Every edition they change; the only constant is they seem to be a race of stay-at-home-domestic-peace-and-quiet-lawful-good types who are also paradoxically kleptomaniacal adventurers. It's like a chaotic good drow.

I don't think so. There's lots of people who want the short races gone. They got the gnomes, they got the halflings. Now they'll turn on the bearded gnomes.

I thought humans were the powergamer's wet dream - extra skill points, extra feat, no multiclassing restrictions...

Totally agree. I think it's funny we are down to the races (sans monsters) that were in The Hobbit. Er, I mean we don't have hobbits, we have halflings... If we had hobbits someone might have to pay royalties...
