What I ment by elves being everywhere is that it always seems manditory that they have to be given an important part in something because they are elves. Or, they have to be better or superior because they are elves.

The buffet of flavors they come in dosn't help. Of course Dwarfs seem just as bad, but I wonder if they were given so many kind just to keep up with the elves. Everybody I know thinks of a Drawf as just a Dwarf.

Yes, what with the Grey Dwarves, Moon Dwarves, Mist Dwarves, Valley Dwarves, Dark Dwarves, High Dwarves, Sea Dwarves, Wild Dwarves, Wood Dwarves, Sun Dwarves...

And let's not forget the half-dwarves.

Dwarf players just go crazy about subraces. It's all about the subtle nuance of the dwarf.

Ya know, I almost voted something besides human cause of the way the poll is listed. I like to be contrary.

But I still ended up voting human again. They're so bland. I NEVER saw anyone play a human back in 2e. It wasn't until WOTC munchkinized them for 3e did I first see them poping up as PCs in my gaming groups. Bah. I still say that, if I want to play a human, I'll play another genre.

As much as I loathe elves, I still think humans should have been the first eliminated critter, they have no business being a fantasy race.
