D&D surface tables as Pax East ?

I read on a different site that there where home built surface/VTT tables( I believe they where home built) used for D&D games. Does anyone have pics and / or be able verify this?

There was a Microsoft Surface which people were using to demo their D&D application. And there were those awesome custom-built gaming tables. These are two separate things, though.

Are you talking about the Saltun game tables?

There were too many people around the Surface table to get any good pics every time I went by. Didn't get a good look at the structure, but it was a little higher than a coffee table; probably resting on a folding square table would be my guess. It was back in the room where you could check out board games. (Unless it was elsewhere during the con, but that's where it was on Sunday.)

The Sultan tables were in the main hall.

thanks for posting the link.
I'll have to look into how the big plastic disks work on the table.
The figures I believe have fiducals on the bottom of them.
I wonder if the big plastic disks have fiducals carved on them?
doesn't look like it though.
