My roommate once referred to an ex-girlfriend as "larger than man-sized". Of course, he's a gamer, but he didn't even realize what he'd said when he said it. We all got a big kick out of that one.
From what I've gathered the meaning of longsword in the common usage and in dnd are different though. in dnd a longsword is the typical knightly broadsword (another loose term for you), but historically longsword usually refers to a twohanded weapon, called longswords for their length.
But I find it hilarious when the gamers who get TOO into the game (I.E. it nters into every aspect of their entire life), who let the game rule their lives, use D20 terms as if everyone in the world should know them.
People who play everquest tend to be even worse off, in my experience. I once worked with a guy who's only topics of conversation were everquest, RPGs, and his so-called girlfriend. I hope that guy's eyeballs implode someday.
