A new Dungeons & Dragons guidebook is coming out later this year. DK Books has announced The Book of Dragons, a new guidebook featuring the dragons of D&D. The new book is written by Michael Witwer and will be released in August 2025. The 224-page book isn't a rulebook but rather a licensed book that focuses on the lore of dragons. The book is written at least partially from the perspectives of Tiamat and Bahamut.

I'd doubt they cover all Dragons, 3e might have been the worse for just coming up with new types of Dragons. I remember there being at least 1 Dragon for every plane out there. Some of them were interesting, some of them were just trying to fill in the grid.

Even if it's amusing that Rust Dragons from Acheron are a mature form of Rust Monsters, I don't think they're really a priority to revisit soon.

No, but they can certainly try. I think PF1 was just as bad in this department as 3e was. ;)
