D20 cyberpunk/fuuristic settings!

Because like d20, the Action! System is going to get big, thanks in part to Wizards' Open Game License.

Action! is an open rules system, so expect products to start flooding the market, even some I daresay as dual-stat with d20 mechanics.

[Hey, many of you wanted other companies to Open their rules system. At least Gold Rush Games is taking the first step offering a non-d20 alternative. ;) ]

*shrug* I've heard that the licensing for Fuzion is nominal. In fact, low enough to make pdfs viable. (For example, see the "Lightspeed" campaign setting for Fuzion at RPGNow.)

However, I'd definitely be interested in seeing what does come out for Action!, especially on the futuristic front (since admittedly it *is* quite close to Fuzion) - but only if it does cover what's already covered in Fuzion, plus more, quickly.

I thought doing Call of Cthulhu and the setting CthulhuPunk but its uses GURPS. Now I want to know who has the rights to name and concept and wonder if there should be a D20 version using D20 Call of Cthulhu rules?

Yeah, nothing in the Call of Cthulhu d20 book is OGL because WOTC doesn't own the rights to the game, Chaosium only allowed them to make the mainbook, & that is the extent of the deal.

Ok here is anotther question fo yall. Are there any rules for adventures in the Cyberworld of computers? Like the Matrix or Virtual Reality style rules/adventures? I have an idea dfor a game like to see has done this already. I am looking D20 regular not D20 Modern, there are some differences.

Psionics Handbook has a lot of Matrix-ey stuff. You could always give PCs a VR skill (key stat INT), and give them that many levels in some psychic class while in VR (and only in VR) to reflect their knowledge of the continuum's rules etc.

Just a thought...

CYD20

After seeing this particular topic (cyberpunk d20) brought up numerous times in numerous forums, I'm still suprised that not many people have actually heard of CYD20, which was I believe the first true cyberpunk d20 game to come out. It's now in its 3rd edition, using d20 modern mechanics, although I still have the other two editions available for those interested in using PHB-based rules. I still believe that it's the best cyberpunk d20 game out there, especially the 3rd edition, and all someone needs to run a cyberpunk campaign, and that's not because I wrote it.
I too am waiting for d20 future, but not to run a cyberpunk game. D20 future will be devoted on the entire science fiction genre, of which cyberpunk is only a small part (and not as popular as other genres), so I imagine it won't get more than 30-50 pages out of the whole book. It's much like Alternity; you could use it to play most sci-fi genres you could think of, but when it came to cyberpunk the scarcity of info, cybernetics etc meant that you had to devise a lot of things yourself.
CYD20 3rd ed is 160 pages long, full-text, no setting (use whatever cyberpunk setting inspires you more), just... stuff...lots of stuff...and rules about computers, AI, bioware, cyberware, feats, guns and the like. Oh, and it's free - I just made it because I love cyberpunk but I couldn't play Shadowrun because of the overtly complex rules or Cyberpunk because no game store in my area carries it.
