I was never into Alternity, but almost got into it just for Dark Matter -- so this will all be brand new to me.

Personally, Alternity is the best value in gaming today.

It's a fully functional system with multiple expansion products ... nothing wrong or un-fun about the rules and there's a thriving online community of players.

And, best of all ... all the books are 5 bucks! You can get the player's book and the gamemaster's book for 10 bucks and be good to go. (In PDF, anyway.)

I've hooked quite a few people on it.

160 pp paperback? Hmmm, I'll certainly have to see if it's got anything new that original book + the Menace Manual doesn't before picking it up, even though I plan on running a D20Mod/D*M PbP someday soon...

I suspect the paperback part is a glitch, like the authors, and it will actually be a hardcover.
