The Mecha Compendium was released by DP9 a few months back, well in advance of d20 Mecha.

Oh yeah... forgot about that.

It's a paperback with b/w interior, but it's very nice quality by all appearances (I still have to get a copy and go over it thoroughly...been waiting for d20 Mecha to come out first), which is to be expected from DP9.

How does the system approach compare to GoO's d20 mecha? Anyone have a point of comparison?

If memory serves, the Compendium uses d20 Mecha to make its various mecha, at least in theory. It seems that it was some sort of partnership/co-op dealio... Whether the final d20 Mecha rules look at all like those used by DP9 in their Compendium I cannot yet say.

I got the Compendium many months ago at a Gamekeeper sale for $3 or so, and was a bit frustrated that getting the actual mecha creation rules required me to wait for d20 Mecha, which was quite late being released.

I'm wondering if Doom Striders will feel a bit more polished even if it is more narrow in utility...

Your memory serves you well }:). The two were supposed to be released much closer to each other, but the rules got delayed and delayed again (for reasons unknown to me). But the mecha in the Compendium should follow all the rules...

It's a Guardians of Order release, and they've got a track record of setting release dates and then blowing it by at least a couple of months. I just got my copy of BESM Dungeon that I pre-ordered last summer. It was a year late.

Hey all. We have PDF versions of all the SRDs to date. I was just wondering if anyone was engaged on doing one of the d20 Mecha SRD for the community.

(Yes, I know phil reed has one; that's not what I am talking about. I am talking about free-to-the-community sorts of things.)

I am currently working on a PDF for d20 Mecha, which will be free for all when I am done. I was making great headway until I hit the combat section, where the hierarchy of headings became a little confusing (and I became busy). When it is done there will be portrait and landscape versions, plus fully bookmarked.

If anyone wants I can send them the partially completed PDF (portrait version), and I should finish it up within the next week. Just e-mail me.

Hey, Malacoda!

I'd certainly appreciate a copy! I tried to email you via the board, but it says your email address is protected or somesuch...

So, please take this as an expression of my interest in your pdf version!

Thanks!
