d20 Messageboard newbs at the liquor store

So during lunch today I stop by the friendly neighborhood package store. The wife has become enamored with a wine we had on Valentine's Day, and this is the only place I can find the stuff. Plus, I'm running what will hopefully be the conclusion of Hall of Rainbow Mage Leads to Domains of the Forge for my online game tonight, so I need something for myself. I have plenty of scotch for late in the game, and celebrating/drowning my sorrows if the PCs go the route I expect and end up with a TPK. But I could use some beer.

Made my way over to the big beer fridge. Looked through the usual suspects, Bass, Sam Adams, Samual Smith's, but wanted something a little different. Ah, here it is, 6 packs of Rogue Ale, so do I go with the Dead Guy Ale, the Shakespeare Stout, or the Chocolate Stout. The prices are indicated on little labels on the shelf, so I check, only to find:

"Rouge 8.99"

So the only logical assumption is that the guys who are always making the rogue/rouge mistake on messageboards work at the liquor store. That explains a lot.

One of these days, I'd like to form a band and sing gamer songs. We'd call ourselves Moulin Rogue, and I'd wear an old Victorian style tuxedo.

Of course, all the band members would be hot chicks in Lady Marmalade (new version) style lingerie. We'd be a hit live. :D

We had a bad fantasy book knocking around our house for a while entitled Rogue Queen. The title was correct on the spine, but the cover said "Rouge Queen."

What is the matter with these people? :)

Indeed! Let's make this happen!

Are any of them musically inclined, or will we just have to go on the strength of the novelty of the idea?

As for my credentials, I do a pretty mean karaoke, I sing showtunes in the shower, and I have no problem making a fool of myself. In fact, I'm quite the expert at the latter.

But I can even make that look fabulous.

Too much reliance on spell checkers?
