d20 Military Vehicles

I very rarely crow about products on forums like this, largely because I figure most people just view it as marketing-speak, but I'm almost done laying out d20 Military Vehicles and I have to say this book simply rocks!

This is going to be a 144 page, hardcover book that presents d20 stats for over a 100 ground, air, and sea military vehicles from around the world. The book is written by David Pulver (of so much fame that if you don't know his name, for shame on you and Rich Spainhour, Major, United States Army. As you can guess, with the background of these two, this book is simply fantastic as a d20 game resource and a military vehicle resource in general.

Honestly, if you enjoy military-related games and play d20, you should make a point of checking this book out. You will not be disappointed.

I know, it sounds like marketing-speak, but I really do think this book is fantastic. I think all of our books are great, but this one has me totally jazzed right now.

We hope to have it off to press in about two weeks so it should be getting to retailers about a month later (give or take a bit) so if you're interested in checking it out, I would recommend letting your favourite retailer know now.

I see on the webpage that this product is part of the d20 Mecha line. Is d20 Mecha required? Are these real vehicles or sci-fi ones? Any chance of a list of what vehicles are in the book or perhaps even a sample vehicle (preferably something other than a truck)?

Does the book include new rules? About what percentage is rules vs. write-ups.

Is d20 Mecha required?

Yes and no. The stats are derived using d20 Mecha, which is 100% compatible with all d20 games, but for anyone who's outright opposed to buying the superb product (because I really do think it rocks on toast...), they can get the information they need from our SRD, available at http://www.guardiansorder.com/d20

Yup. Every single one of them.

Any chance of a list of what vehicles are in the book or even a sample page?

Probably. Not right now (let me finish laying it out first... ) but, assuming I don't get swamped with other work, I'll be happy to post a pdf preview. And I promise it won't be a truck.

There are four pages of errata and new rules in d20 Military Vehicles (which will be added to the Mecha d20 SRD after the book is published). All the vehicles are (obviously) built with these corrected/new rules in mind.

P.S. The effect-based d20 Mecha book does rock.

I'm clearly biased, but I agree.

Check the first post - one of the writers is a major in the US Army (Rich Spainhour) and the other writer is, simply put, a research maniac (David Pulver).

I don't see why it cannot be used with d20 Modern, ArthurQ. It is just a book of vehicles with stats. Even I have no problem using d20 Mecha with a d20 Modern mini-game, MECHA CRUSADE.
