D20 miniatures!!

First Post
Well this thread is for miniatures in general. I am planning using some miniatures for our D&D games and the ones I am looking at are 30mm and the base I think is 1" in diameter.

Now for the new 3.5 rules coming out, will the rule starting using the 30mm size from companies that are starting to use? The one miniature game that I am thinking of using Confrontation, go to New Wave Miniatures website to see samples.

I'm not sure if 3.5 will go with a specific scale for miniatures, being that there are a few different options available. I'd think that they'll concentrate mainly on just presenting combat in terms of 1" squares equaling 5 '.

Those are nice minis by the way. Some of the best I've seen outside of Reaper in fact. Although, there is another company called Heresy that makes some nice ones. They can be found here: www.heresyminiatures.com/

I recommend looking at their Netherlord, he's huge!

:D

I don't think they'd have any reason to tell you what size minis to use. As long as your minis fit in your squares, it shouldn't matter what the scale is.

I mostly buy Reaper, but those Heresy minis are awesome. I want that Netherlord, but I haven't done any pinning before, and that looks like it would require pinning. But now I have a reason to aquire the pinning skill.

It's amazing how much better the Reaper miniatures are getting. The new scale has really added some life to the whole industry and the detail is fantastic.

why do the Heresy minis require pinning? I use JB weld on mine and I have never pined anything. If that cant hold something I dont know what could.

I've only used generic super glue to put minis together before, and that hasn't always proved reliable. With something as big as the Netherlord, I figured just super gluing those parts together wouldn't work very well. What is JB weld?
