d20 Modern classes in pseudomedieval fantasy

Oooh, just what I always wanted to be! An elitist latte-sipping gamer, but not so elitist that I turn up my nose at d20 -- just at pure D&D.

Anyway, I admit, though, I'm surprised more of this idea hasn't been made already too -- seems like it'd be pretty popular around here.

Just thought I would jump in unofficially here:

Bad Axe Games will be releasing a low-magic rulebook sometime this year, built around the core d20 Modern SRD. We've been working diligently on this product since the company's inception-- it is, in fact, the reason why games with grit is our official company motto.

We plan to announce this product "officially" after we finalize our release schedule for the rest of the year, within a few days.

If you are looking for a gritty, low-magic system to play anything from fantasy to Victorian to far future, please check it out.

Will it be stand-alone or be a d20 Modern supplement/companion? I have been toying with picking up d20 Modern for this very reason (grittier d20 Fantasy). If I can use your product without buying the d20 Modern book, then I might be one happy latte-sipping gamer. ;)

I was looking on the Modern Boards at WotC and couldn't find that thread that Josh mentioned. can Anybody point me in the direction (mabye a link)?
It sounds interesting.

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my "elitist Latte Set" comment. Note that I include myself in such group, and made the comment in reference to derision I've seen on the web against us.

I mean, what's wrong with wanting more +4 longswords and less Apparatuses of Kwalish in my D&D?

That's because the thread is in our d20 Modern forum. (ENWorld forums.)

Guys--

There are a few snippets in this here Story Hour thread:

http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?postid=663008#post663008

Bad Axe is finalizing our release schedule for 2003, and we'll have a more formal announcement when we're ready to announce the year.

I am glad you guys are interested, it is very fulfilling as a designer and fellow gamer to find an audience who thinks so similarly to me...

Not offended, think it's kinda funny. However, the true "Latte Set" of gaming wouldn't deign to play d20 at all, I'm thinking. The only games good enough for those folks are games like In Nomine and such, right? ;)
