d20 Modern Feats

I've been adding the d20 modern feats to my database and I've noticed some interesting stuff in here. Some of the splatbook feats are now OGC by virtue of the d20 modern SRD. Also many of the original SRD feats have been rewritten with greater clarity in the new system. I wasn't going to bother picking it up but after seeing this I just might. I can't wait to get to the skills now. I would love to see a thorough comparison between the rewrites and the original feats if anyone is doing one. Also I would like to know just how many of the d20 modern feats are from the splat books.

I have noticed this too. In fact, I am now recommending this book to anyone who plays D&D 3e, even if they have no interest at all in playing d20 Modern. The feats, skills, and combat sections provide SO MUCH CLARIFICATION to the rules that it is stunning. Every little bit of information from sage rulings and the FAQ and errata and long running debates are placed into these rules, all written in a much cleaner and clearer format.

For example, I have often participated in the debate over whether you can make a trip attack with a weapon that does not mention it. The d20 Modern rules make it clear - no, unless the weapon has trip rules in its description, your trips are unarmed attacks.

These d20 Modern rules could be used as another source for interpreting the D&D core rules. So many answers are in there, that it is probably faster to just flip to the d20 Modern rule than it is to dig out a ruling, FAQ, or Errata somewhere else.
