d20 Modern fencer vs. D&D swordsman

Based on what you've heard about the new product due to be released soon, what's your best guess?: Would a fencer or sword-focused martial artist created under the d20 Modern rules be able to hold his own against a D&D warrior of approximately equal level? What do you think the major differences would be as they appear on the character sheet? (i.e. feats, classes, special prestige class abilities, etc.)

The biggest concern would be a critical hit from the d&d fighter- it would likely trip off a massive damage check from the fencer.
