[D20 Modern - The Tomorrow People] Chapter One - The Brackenfeir Experiment

((OOC considering Thursday was Thanksgiving, Friday and Saturday i worked 14 1/2 and 13 1/2 hours (respectivly at Lennox Mall) and yesterday i had a real game and a friends Birfday to do, im sorry.

Also, i found a Georgia state law about firearms. I need to know how and why each of you have them.

16-11-127.

(a) Except as provided in Code Section 16-11-127.1, a person is
guilty of a misdemeanor when he carries to or while at a public
gathering any explosive compound, firearm, or knife designed for the purpose of offense and defense.

(b) ...public gathering shall include... publicly owned or operated
buildings

Nothing in this Code section shall otherwise prohibit the carrying
of a firearm in any other public place by a person licensed or
permitted to carry such firearm by this part.

AND in Georgia, you have to be 21 to get a firearms license.

Also, if he commits almost any sort of crime, he's by definition carrying a bladed weapon over 3 inches in length, which itself is a felony with an additional five year to his sentence.))

"Yes, you can still catch them. They are right around the corner."

She moves from behind the desk and crosses the polished floor to the elevator area. There is some talking and a sigh. She returns.

"It's five dollars ach and they are waiting at the elevators right there."

She points to the hallway she was just standing at.

[Purchasse check roll 15 + 6 = 21, if we even need to make one for something so inexpensive. Oh, and does my katana count as a knife? If so, he'll leave it in the car. Greg doesn't usually carry his gun; he leaves it in a drawer in his appartment.]

"Thank you, ma'am." Greg slaps a couple 1s and a few quarters on the desk, then hurries over to the tour.

(Kim didn't get her gun in Georgia. She's had it since she was 14, and in LA, it isn't hard to get hold of a gun with no questions asked. As such, it's rather less than legal in any state, although she might have a licence for California. As for the why, you don't run with a street gang with out some kind of weapon...)

"Thanks." Kim says to the woman behind the desk as she pulls a five-dollar bill out of her purse, and hands it over. She quickly follows after Greg, keeping her eyes open for any sign of the men they tailed here.

Seeing Jayna turn back and enter the building, Travis joins her. He hands the woman five dollars and starts the tour.

OOC: I couldn't post for about four days myself, and the talk over in meta was some tech-thing-widget-stuff needed to be rebooted.

Travis being military, he'd at least have cause to pack heat, but I don't know what the military regulations are about being armed off-base.

Being the daughter of a very wealthy man can sometimes make Jayna feel the need for some protection. She probably got her father to buy her one, and he agreed only if she promised him to be properly trained in it (which she has not done, as of yet).

"Let's catch up with that group, guys" Jayna states as she comes bounding in the doors.

Reasoning

Well, the reason Dade has a gun is he fater gave it to him beign in the millitary, it is the gun his father trained him with at shooting ranges and etc. H etakes it with him for safety (he lived in NYC) and Paranoia.

Dade slapes down a five. He chases after the group. "Looks like I need to save all your asses." He says with a wink.

The elevator is being held and there appears to be a group of semi angry people glaring at you teenagers. The tour guide just smiles and continues on her spiel as the elevator goes up to the 3rd floor.

The door opens and its nothing but offices.

"This," The guide says, "Is where all the research and funding happens. Feel free to look around."

Kim walks around the room, taking it all in with interest. She's still keeping an eye out for the men in black, but she's got into the spirit of the tour.
