d20 Online Dating Packages

and seems completely legitimate in every regard.
Except in terms of value judgments. But yes, it is a genuine service, and the only difference between GDG from other dating services is the audience she's focusing on (Geeks) and that it's focusing primarily on internet dating.

Actually, that's not really out of line with a professional dating service in the physical world.
Aye. Matchmaker International, for instance, costs $1,500 for their lowest level package.

I was seriously ripped off by MatchMaker, so I'm very wary of any dating service.

but I bet most people, geeks included, just don't know how to present themselves in a profile.
I recall hearing something on the John Tesh show about a book on Online Dating, and how men don't know how to communicate with women. It's not just profiles, but email communication, IMs, etc etc.

Careful, you might go blind.

I've been off-and-on watching GDG's site. e seems like a really nice person. I have issues with the whole thing, but I hold nothing against e.

I follow her on Twitter- she is legit, and she seems to put a lot of work into coaching these guys, and takes it very seriously. I think she's found a genuine niche, and for a self employed writer, I applaud her creativity.

What I would like is a gamer match up site. Some service that could match up local gamers. Something with a human in the middle to make introductions and get things rolling. That would be interesting, and there is at least one time in my life I would have used that service.

For dating, or gaming purposes?

Because I can't help but imagine a gamer match up site would be to connect gamers with gaming groups that suit their needs. :D

I'm confused. I don't mean to be offensive, and I haven't clicked the links(paranoid about clicking a "BUYNOW!" link and getting charged), but is this service advertising tips for online dating, as in, how to talk to people in IM text message to have 'e-GF's' or 'e-BF's'?

Or is it more akin to stuff like "eHarmony for geeks"?

Tips for online dating like "How to actually get a date using a site like eHarmony"

Basically: they provide an assessment of your online dating profile (what's wrong with it, how to make it better), tips on writing the initial emails to women on dating sites so they respond to your emails, and things along those lines.

For instance, one of the tips that is repeated in various that the author posts is: Never put 'Hi' in the subject of an initial email to a woman, because that will not grab their attention. They likely have 10 emails in their box, and a woman is more likely to click on one that says something funny, or references something the woman put in her profile, compared to one that says "Hi".

Ah. See, I was getting confused whether there was a 'reality' component involved or if it was tips for getting to date someone via the internet without a real component... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Thanks for the clarification.
