D20 Past misuse of nonlethal damage

It ain't the only place. I've also seen other d20 modern products refer to nonlethal damage in the acumulating sense... including the menace manual. And there was no SRD to cut-and-paste from there.

Just because no one uses the rule doesn't make the mistake not a mistake though.
'zactly.

The first law of writing game supplements is know the rules of the game you're writing for.

And if you're offering a variant rule, then say so.

Don't get me wrong--I really like these books. It's just that they tried to cram too much into each one and, in the process, missed a few things. Anyone who read this board after D20 Future came out knows that the most egregious was the replacement of the Starship section with a cheezy, character-like combat system. Another example in D20 Future is in the weapon section. Footnotes say that all of the ranged weapons use Personal Firearms Proficiency but there are several heavy machine gun-like weapons that should probably be exotic.

I've got problems with the book, including the spaceship section, but this was one of the best parts, IMO.

I tend to agree. The only major issue I had with that section was that hit points for ships inflated far faster than their damage output as you got up in size classes.
