d20 Reviews!

On the d20 reviews page it says:

There are currently 1159 reviews available on 653 products

This means that, currently, there is an average of 1.77 reviews per d20 product.

The reviews system will only allow a product to be listed as one of the top 20 if it has at least 5 reviews... thus, it stands to reason, that a great many very good products that someone else may not know about are not getting the spotlight they deserve!

Now, I am not saying that we need to jump in and write 2106 reviews in the next few days (although, that would be kinda cool and all) -- but what I am saying is that if you have a rather favorite d20 product and it has not gotten at least 5 reviews -- go ahead and write one!

It does not have to be real long -- just informative, and honest. Go ahead! You know you want to!

Excellent observation -- thanks for the polite kick in the pants . I've only written one review, but have promised myself that I'd write several more before the week is finished. Hopefully others will join in!!

On that note, I think it's only fair to invite people who really thought a certain product was lousy to also share their thoughts. While it's great to support a well-done product, it's also nice to be warned about the few bad apples.

I actually am scared to write a review! Maybe we should have some sort of a "writer's workshop" for reviewers. (Or maybe it's just my unique position in the community that makes it harder for me personally to do it...)

Also, when I buy something and I like it, I'd be more likely to write a review than if I hated it. I wouldn't even waste my time with writing up a negative review. I wonder if that's a common feeling...

It is a common feeling -- but it is a needed evil -- I know that a few reviews here have warned me not to buy something that I am sure I would have regretted...
