D&D 3E/3.5 Daggerspell Shaper Builds 3.5e

First Post
Hello All,
My cousin and I were planning on playing the PrCs Daggerspell Mage and Daggerspell Shaper. He is going to play the Daggerspell Mage and I am going to play the Daggerspell Shaper. I've been looking over the class and I honestly do not know what kind of classes I should mix and match with it. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas about builds that would work well with the Daggerspell Shaper.

Thanks all,
Afoekon

I've been looking at some classes that might work well with it but I'm not sure, I was thinking of taking a few levels of Ninja with it but I'm not really sure about it since Ninjas dont wear armor. The only obvious choices to me would either take a level of rogue and 5 levels of druid or 2 levels of rogue, a level of fighter, 2 levels of druid and taking the practiced spell caster feat. If anyone has any better ideas I would really appreciate it.

I've not been familiar with the Daggerspell Shaper before this, so I did some reading.

You've got a Druid-based PrC, with a Rogue dip. I'd imagine any PrC that builds off Druid such as the Moonspeaker or Planar Shepherd would be good choices.

However, since you've already got the Rogue dip, I wonder if a single level into Bard wouldn't be excellent towards the Fochlucan Lyrist PrC. You'll slow the progress of your Druid Casting and abilities, but gain a list of Arcane spells that might be helpful to mix into Daggercast and Dagger claws.

In general though, Druid is awesome by itself. If you're going to stagger Daggerspell Shaper with another class, or consider finishing up your higher levels with something, it wouldn't hurt to keep going Druid.

What you don't want to do (Or, at least, I'd strongly want to talk you out of) is multiclass into anything that won't progress your Druid spellcasting or Wildshape abilities. The Daggerspell Shaper is all about making the most of those 2 class abilities, your Ninja or Fighter ideas will only water down the things that are making your character effective.
