Sheath weapon then you're not threatening and next round you draw it and can't sheathe it.

Just annoying.

All the gish types should have had spellcasting focus built in like the cleric. Or magical aegis for +2 AC
I expect most will take Warcaster for the concentration either way.

Giving gishes weapons as implements is one of my first house rules. They gave it to bladelocks iirc.

Keeps coming back to Warlock dip

Warlock dip delays higher level spell access.

Pick up Shillelagh with an origin feat, first round use the bonus action for Shillelagh, attack action replace 1 attack with Truestrike and the other a regular attack.

Subsequent rounds take the Attack action, replace one attack with Truestrike, Truestrike is a spell with a casting time of one action and triggers Battle Magic on a Bonus Action.

It doesn't matter if Truestrike hits or misses because casting it will still trigger Battle Magic. It's a bard cantrip spamming build.

A set up like that allows for focusing on CHA first.
