D&D General Dandadan meets D&D, the unexpected crossover!

According the anonimous internaut "ratoncolorao22" as information source we will watch a collab between the most famous and popular tabletop roleplaying "Dungeons & Dragons" and the manga that is in the top of the wave "Dandadan". The details about the plot are close to this: The exemplar student Rin Sawaki dreams with to be a writter of vampire novels in the future. To learn how to be a better storyteller she accepts the suggestion to try the roleplaying game "Dungeons & Dragons". The main characters Okarun and Momo Ayase accept the idea of a game session like a way to learn team spirit with the rest of the friends. Of course in the end, things end up happening in a way that was not planned and here the troubles start. There will be lots of action, some humor and maybe some surprises.

* The setting "Birthright" will be adapted to a future economic strategy and city-building videogame. Plans for a future romantasy novel are being studied.

* The husks and mist monsters from "Fortnite: Save the World" will appear like an online monster sourcebook in D&D Beyond. The rumors tell they have fey monster subtype. The animal-like machines from "Horizon Zero Dawn" also could appear like a collab in D&D Beyond.

  • Miniserie of Transfomers: Isekai. We will discover the secret truth about the decepticon truck who runs over people and whose victims are reincarnated into a fantasy world. There are some clues about kiss-players onna-musha or skjaldmö(shield-maiden) like "magical girls with a cybertronian touch". There is some plan for a mash-up of M.A.S.K and the TTRPG "Gamma World".
  • The cartoon shows "Wildfire" and "Pirates of the Dark Waters" will return like comic miniseries. Also we willl can appear like mini-settings in D&D Beyond.
  • The forgotten franchise "Cops n Crooks"(action figures)/COPS(cartoonn show) will be reimaginated like a spin-off/sequel of New Capena
  • Future collab Anpanman (superhero from a manga for children) and Witchlight. The action will happen in a new "Domain of Delight".
  • After of "Tower of Doom" and "Shadow over Mystara" Capcom could work in a third D&D arcade.

* The franchise "Dark*Matter"(d20 Modern) could appear like a novel or a comic miniserie.

Yeah maybe don't trust anonymous weirdoes essentially writing fanfiction? Especially hard to understand how a presumably Brazilian source would learn this before anyone else, given that the manga and anime are Japanese.

The supposed plot sounds exactly like ChatGPT came up with it, too, especially lines like "Of course in the end, things end up happening in a way that was not planned and here the troubles start. There will be lots of action, some humor and maybe some surprises.", which are so generic as to be wholly meaningless.

I'm unclear if the rest is supposed to be "rumours" or just "hopes", but yeah exactly none of that is going to happen, it's just fanfiction.

The cartoon shows "Wildfire" and "Pirates of the Dark Waters" will return like comic miniseries.
What would this even have to do with D&D? They're just cartoons that 40-somethings watched when they were kids. As such I wouldn't be shocked to see comics miniseries of them because you can extract a lot of money from 40-something nostalgics, but neither has anything to do with D&D AFAIK. Suggesting they "could" do D&D mini-settings doesn't make a lot of sense - why would you make mini-settings that WotC don't own and are only really popular with an aging niche group?

On these special days, when the whole family gathers around the fireplace and everyone sings Christmas carols... oh, wait a minute, that's December 25th, and today is... ;)

* Now seriously, the Hanna-Barbara cartoons "Pirates of the Dark Waters" and "Wildfire" with a right reimagination or reboot could be perfect for a campaign setting. The creativity needs to drink from different sources of inspiration.

Let's remember there isn't only an official "My Little Pony" TTRPG but a 3PP published "Ponyfinder", an ersatz version of the famous franchise.

The remake of "My Little Pony" was not for nostalgic of the first generation but for a totally new group of audience. The successive series of Transformers cartoon were for a new audience. Or the new editions of "Jhonny Quest" cartoon shows.

Several years ago DC published some reimaginated version of some Hanna-Barbera cartoons. And the cartoon "Velma" is a good example of how a franchise can be reimagined radically.

Other reason is some times to retouch an old IP is faster or faster than starting from zero trying to be enoughly original.

Open your mind and you will can find more inspiration.

Momo Ayase, the character what makes you to want to play with a psionic mystic.

When I read some numbers of the manga I imagined a new D&D setting like "Ghostwalk" and psionic powers but also a "yokai-host" class working like incarnum soulmelds. Of course this idea is only a sketch, a first step, but if we work rightly in the development it could be a fabulous new line.

This setting would start like a mixture of jianghu fiction and post-apocaliptse, or "Conan the barbarian& Mad Max lost in the fog of Ebisugaoka( comingsoo Silent Hill f)".

Or "the Lone Ranger faces Stephen King's Mist in comfortable installments". We have got the wastelands in the middle of a fallen civilitation. There are some city-states built like strongholds. They rebuild the civilitation after the fall. When certain bell sounds is the alarm sign. Then all the civilians go to the underground vaults because the scarlett sandstorm is going to arrive. This is like a ochre sandstorm carrying the aparition of monsters. Then it is the moment where the "heroes" can start the "hunt" like in a dungeon-crawl, but more "tower defense". With giant crossbows the kaiju monsters can be killed (if they are enough near because the dust storm stop the vision in farer zones).

Other time the "hunt" are in the street during the middle of the night, but most of those supernatural predators aren't undead and then the tatics have to be different.

I mean the manga could be the source of inspiration for your homemade setting.
