Dangerous Delves Preview II

Yeah, don't worry about the medusa being $25, it will never happen, it won't be popular enough. A rare beholder on the other hand...:.-(
I ended up paying around $25 for the Harbinger medusa a few years ago, IIRC, and I do shop around. The beholder was around $50 at the same time though, so maybe prices have dropped. I got out of DDM several sets ago.

It's just me disturbed by the blue dress on harpy?

Cartoonish devils, full dressed monster (google harpy and see images), bright colors. Wotc is trying to attract children and kicking adults from game.

And the alternative is minis that all look drab and boring (think the argument made about 1st person shooters being just differing grays and browns), and stuff that would push the bounds of a PG rating too much.

I, personally, think it's better than previous iterations of the Harpy mini in DDM, and can easily touch it up with some paint if I didn't like it.

To say WotC is trying to kick out adults from the game is just hyperbole that doesn't even make any sense.

There's a lot of other tones of colors and shades to use. Would be boring only if the painter wants it.

I personally want to buy a product that I don't need to repaint.

Of course is a hyperbole (the kick part) but it's far from don't make any sense.

"Teach a kid to play"

All I see is an effort from Wotc to attract younger players.

In order to survive, the game needs to attract new players. It needs to attract these players when they're young. Avin has quoted Rouse saying "Teach a kid to play" as though it's a revelation of betrayal when really, it's the most sincere way to keep the game alive.

It's not a bad thing. It's the best thing.
