Dark Crystal sequel news?

Supposedly, "Power of the Dark Crystal" comes out sometime this year (whether that's a good idea is another question!). However, the latest info I can find anywhere is about a year old.

Has anyone heard any recent news on this at all?

At it's own site, the last noting was on Now 4, 2010. After that...quiet.

Well, that's something. 4 Nov 2010 is a little later than the last I'd heard (May 2010, the date of the last press release I could find on Henson's site).

The silence since then has certainly been deafening, though. I've got pretty mixed feeling on this whole thing, so I'm sort of holding my breath. Oh well, guess we'll just keep our eyes open....

As my knowledge of foreign film studios is limited, what is the size of the Australian production company that's making the film with Jim Henson Pictures?
A truly tiny company might have bitten off more than they could chew and are slowly eating the ensuing mess.

Another possibility is shopping a distribution deal is taking longer than expected. Many movies sit in the vault for months or years while awaiting distribution, especially if they aren't blockbuster quality. Usually they sit waiting until one of the actors/actresses stars in a blockbuster and then they can release it on the coat tails of the bigger movie. (also why stars seem to be in strings of movies even though they work sporadically.)

Honestly the first I heard of a sequel was back in 2000 and hadn't heard anything since.
