Dark Phoenix Saga -- Huh?

I do plan on reading it again to see what I think. Though based on a conversation with someone in one of the games I'm in, I suspect part of it is the fact that some of what made Watchmen so special is how pioneering it was for it's time, something that didn't work on me since I had already experienced the comics it influenced.
The Watchmen is a funny animal for me. I read it for the first time about 5 years ago. I liked it because of the time period and the characters. Then again, I have a soft spot for anything set around the 70's & 80's.

It was honestly a tiring read but I attribute that mostly to the fact that I was trying to rush through it. It is not a good comic to speed through (oops). It's one of the few that deserves to be immediately re-read, or at least certain chapters. That was my mistake. Either way, I enjoyed it and can see why it is so important for its time and future influence.

This basically sums up my feelings, I just had the nerve to say it wasn't the greatest thing since Duct Tape.
