While I'm still evaluating the new Campaign Setting cover I think it was a great decision to use the original cover art for the Creature Catalog.

I prefer the old one.

Although I'd really prefer one done by Brom. I'm getting sick of all 4E cover art being done by Wayne Reynolds.

On a second thought, the new cover is something that kills my hope of a fantastic DS4E a bit... instead of a menacing environment representing Arthas two bold adventurers ready for assault dungeons ... eew...

There appears to be some rule that each handbook must have two heroes posing with dramatic faces. One must be female and one must be male. sigh.

Old one was very cool.* (I love the picture, but frankly, I wish there was less "action" in it. Not every single cover needs to be an intense action-shot, guys. It's gettings stale. Keep the sun and the pyramid.)

New one looks the same as every other 4E cover so far; two characters posing with swords.

Also, I don't understand; why the hell are they putting player and DM stuff in the same book again? Why are they abandoning the three-book model? I loved it, and I am not looking forward to having to worry about what my players have spoiled for themselves./grumble
