Darklight, eh?

Was this movie actually made for the Sci-Fi Channel? Sci Fi seems to be a little loose with their "Original Movies" label. They aired Dog Soldiers (which was made in England and aired around the world until Sci-Fi got its hands on it) under the title and I'm pretty sure they also did the same with some of those giant bug movies they tend to air (I'm sure I've seen some of them at the video store before the aired). Plus, I just read a review of the newly released on DVD Boa VS Python which mentioned nudity. Would Sci-Fi have shot nude scenes for the DVD release?

"Original Movie" seems to imply that it was originally made for the Sci-Fi Channel, doesn't it?

BTW, I don't think there was ever a thread dedicated to Boa VS Python, so I'll review it here. It sucked. End of review. :)

But, seriously, it was pretty bad. I was actually looking forward to it. :(

There was a time, that Friday night...was a holy night...Farscape, Lexx, and one other...one fell, then Lexx ended, and the knife stab...Farscape.:(

The replacements that came after, Tremors, Scare tactics...cannot bring back the fire, that made Friday...a Friday.

Those were the days...

*waking up*

Oh...sorry, was I ranting?

Seriously, with a name like Boa Vs. Python, I don't thik it could be good. Not exactly a confidence-inspiring name, that... ;)

But, aren't they doing new episodes of Andromeda? You should be thrilled! Right? Um, right?

I had hope! I love monster vs monster movies. I was hoping that it would be fun monster mash. Instead, it was boring and stupid (and not in a fun stupid way). And the "versus" is about 15 seconds of the snakes rolling around together. I haven't been that disappointed in a monster fight since Robot VS The Aztec Mummy.

And, to be fair to that movie, all of the Aztec Mummy movies were just edited together from a Mexican serial, making all the movies' stories incoherent. Still, the "fight" between the monster consisted solely of the mummy bumping into the robot (actually a cyborg, since it used a human brain), and the robot falling apart off-screen.

All things considered, it was still a better movie than Boa VS Python. That's very sad. :(
