D&D General darklings/creepers

do these monsters/potential pc races appear in any adventures? Are they allied with any other creatures? curious on building an encounter with them .

I have always loved them, and used them extensively since before they were called Darklings in the AD&D 1 Fiend Folio, as low level adversaries. But I don't think that I've seen then in official modules (maybe some White Dwarf old ones?), and they never allied with anyone, as they are much too xenophobic for that (at least in my view of them).

I’m pretty sure they were in the Original Adventures Reincarnated #4 - the Lost City.
